Thoughts About Love – 1 Corinthians 13

We are told nine times what love is not or what love never does. We are told seven times what love is or does. This is a pretty important passage because these things ought to define us as Christians. Verses 1-3 provide a bleak backdrop when love is absent. Verses 4-8 provide a bright and loving fellowship when love is present. Is love perfectly represented in you or in anyone you know? The answer is that love is not perfectly represented by any of us. This devotional helps us to see three facets of this biblical love and how we need to apply them to our lives: Longsuffering, Kind, and Envy-free Love.
