Why We Memorize Scripture – Hebrews 4.12


Factual information must be learned via rote memory. That is a hard and painful fact. Critical thinking cannot occur until one has knowledge. As the saying goes, “Milk a lot of cows but make your own butter.” There are at least five reasons that it is especially vital for children to memorize the word of God. This chapel talk explores those reasons and the meaning of Hebrews 4.12.
