“Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul” (Ps 66.16).  Imagine a man who had the cure to cancer but never told anyone about it.  We know that such a man would benefit financially and would also receive great honor in our world.  We also know that people with cancer would benefit along with their families as well!  It would be shameful and unmerciful to withhold the cure.  But think of the great benefits we find for the soul in the Word of God and prayer.  When God teaches us about the cure for sin, it is equally shameful to withhold that information from those we love and for whom we care.
